The short version

Text Me Not does not read your texts, monitor your calls, or upload your contacts. Your protected contacts, reasons, drafts, and cooldown history stay on your device unless you export them or back them up through standard device backup such as iCloud Backup.

What the app stores

The people you choose to protect, the nicknames and labels you give them, your danger hours, your reasons, your drafts, and a local record of your cooldowns. All of it is stored on your device. None of it is sent to us. We have no servers and no accounts.

Contacts access

If you choose a person from your contacts, the app reads only the name and phone number you select, and saves them on your device. Your address book is never uploaded anywhere.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules reminders on your device at the start of your danger hours. Scheduling happens entirely on the device.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We do not receive your name, payment details, or Apple ID. The app checks your subscription status through Apple StoreKit only.

Analytics

The app contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third party tracking of any kind. This website is a static page and sets no cookies.

Data deletion

Settings includes Delete All Data, which removes every protected contact, reason, draft, and stat from your device immediately. Deleting the app removes its data as well.

Children

Text Me Not is not directed at children and is rated for users 12 and older on the App Store.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
